Abstract
This study investigates the challenges and opportunities associated with public sector bank financing for allied agricultural activities in rural Telangana. Focusing on banks such as the State Bank of India (SBI), Canara Bank, and Bank of Baroda, this research analyzes data from 500 respondents involved in dairy farming, poultry farming, aquaculture, and horticulture.
The study identifies key challenges such as limited access to credit, repayment difficulties, and inadequate risk management practices. It also highlights opportunities for improvement, including the development of tailored financial products, enhanced technological support, and increased government backing. The findings provide actionable insights for enhancing the effectiveness of public sector bank financing in supporting allied agricultural activities and promoting rural development.
