Instruction for Authors

  Type of paper: Research papers on fisheries and fishery-related subjects will be considered for publication. All material submitted must be original and unpublished works. Three categories of papers are considered for publication: “Original research papers”, “Short communications” and “Reviews”.

  Manuscripts: Manuscripts should be written in English language in double spacing, and submitted in Microsoft office word document to: http://www.sifisheriessciences.com/ . If you could not access to the website please send your manuscript to : bsh443@gmail.com. A Cover Letter (a sample cover letter is given in the web site) should be accompanied with the manuscript , which is prepared for sending to the editor-in-chief or the journal.

  After getting the opinions of the reviewers you should correct your manuscript and send it back accompanying with a Check list .

  Online Submission

  First, you should register in our website through the left panel of our home page, "Registration".

  *Important note:You should replace the new version of your manuscript with the previous version if you are recommended by the journal team to correct the manuscript , during the process of reviewing.

  -Admissible format for submitting the manuscript is word.

  -Online Submission is possible through the two ways: 1-Through the left panel at the home page of the web site. 2- Through the private page of each registered member.

  -editing or deleting of your submitted manuscript is possible before confirming the submission done by editor-in-cheif.

 Guide for authors:

  1-Important note: The manuscript should be included line numbers. Otherwise without any notification, your manuscript would not be considered by editorial board.

  2-Title : Title should be brief and informative reflecting the purpose and content of the study (species should be identified by their scientific name).

  3 -Author(s) : The full name of the author(s) should be listed under the title seperated from each other with semicolon (;) e. g.   Kakoolaki, S.1*; Soltani, M.2; Ebrahimzadeh Mousavi, H. A.2

  4-Affiliation(s) : The affiliation and address of the author(s) should be stated, identifiable by an index number in case of more than one author and should be inserted at the end of the first page under the keywords.

  5-Abstract : An abstract not more than 250 words should be attached, identifying upfront the scientific working hypothesis and reporting on the key findings only.

  6-Keywords : Up to seven descriptive keywords should be listed e.g. Shrimp, WSSV, P. vannamei, Histopathology

  7-Introduction : The introduction should be brief (no extended review of literature) leading into the scientific working hypothesis of the study.

  8-Materials and methods : Materials and methods must be sufficiently detailed so that readers can exactly repeat the study.

  Note:Sub-title either for this section or for "Results" should be given as italic with no bolded style. for instance:

  Materials and methods...(bold)

  Sampling methods...(Italic)

  9 -Results : The text of the results should interpret the findings and not repeat data already presented in Figures and Tables.

  a-Tables : Scientific-styleTables (as follows) should be numbered in the order they appear in the text. A brief title should be typed above each table, explaining in full all abbreviations and units used. For instance : The mean weight for treatments was listed in table 2.

  b-Figures : A descriptive list of numbered figures should be attached. Gray-scale color should be used in bar charts. A brief title should be typed under each figure, clearly explaining all symbols and abbreviations depicted in the figures. For instance: Figure 3 shows a significant differences among groups but no others (Fig. 1, 3). No significant difference was observed between groups 1 and 2 (fig. 5)

  10 -Discussion : The discussion should focus on critical key issues (citing essential references pertinent to the critical issues of the paper).

  11 -References : The new version of Harvard system of referencing has been adopted by the journal as follows. The full list of references should be in alphabetical order. Journals names should be given in full without abbreviation. For more convenience in reviewing, it is recommended to add the web addresses of the references used in the reference list at the end of each reference as follows:

  3- Three or more authors: Rosenthal et al. (2001)

  4-Standard institutes and recognised organisations :Full name of the institute(only in the first citation) followed by abbreviation of the institute name:

  1st citation:Association of official analytical chemists, (AOAC) (2000).

  2nd citation: AOAC (2000).

  5-for Books:Noga, 2010.

  6-conference:Bezirtzoglou, E. (2009).

  Important notes

  -The picture files of the manuscript which could be occupied the submission file capacity, should be uploaded through the "Attachment file(s)" separately.

  -The corrected technical reviewed version of the manuscript (after sending the opinion of the technical manager of the journal) should be submitted again by replacing by the older version of the manuscript (delete the current file and upload the new one).
