The Necessity of the United Kingdom’s English Language in Indian Context

Abstract

It was quite difficult to bring people or gather human beings together on a single platform of understanding of world movements and processes. To accomplish this task, many western and non-western leaders in social, political, cultural, and other aspects and contents have stressed that people’s roles in international trade, business, literature, the arts, communication, and administration are so important that without their role, nothing could be done and executed in the aforesaid fields because the entire world system functions for the sake of human beings benefits and welfare, and unless and otherwise the system knows people’s needs and interests through a single communication forum, its functions will seem meaningless. In order to make an efficient and effective world administration, English was chosen as an important language to communicate, converse, and expose all social issues and needs properly without any confusion or flaw. After the first and second world wars, western countries and developing countries suffered a lot towards winding up and finding solutions to these two wars through proper communication forums. Later, international volunteers and social, political, and social activities concentrated on the English language to comprehend the belligerents needs through English communication, thereby being able to slowly and amicably solve all those inter- and intra-country problems. Since they do not know how to administer and conduct international administration in smooth and democratic ways, they lost much more natural resources, infrastructures, and lives during the two world wars. Later, with a better understanding of the affected people’s situation, leaders began to communicate and orate about the needs and importance of the international peace and prosperity that had been made easily and slowly with the help of the English vernacular. Many of us used to believe that English only consisted of grammar and spoken English; however, it is applied and used in a variety of successful and victory-making fields such as social, economic, and artistic fields such as performing arts, fine arts, sciences, and social sciences. In these fields, success, progress, and improvements with discoveries and inventions are done only in the English language. Perhaps regional languages were allowed; this would surely and obviously create more hurdles and ambiguity in the fields of international governance, education, and politics. So, this language was recognised as an international language to serve the international community’s all types of welfare. Albeit many people speak English in many countries according to their standard, but UK English was declared and proclaimed as an international official language and will be used in all academic and administrative aspects with an interest in making a clear and lucid world without suspicion and vulnerability. More regional languages exist across several countries that are creating more confusion in international policy making, making unclear statements in the world administration, and being a stumbling block in world development and integrity by having a lot of sub-ideas and concepts. All these sub-ideas and concepts were being broken down by inducting the universal UK English system in all domains. Since a lot of regional languages were created to stammer and get stuck in the path of world construction and integrity, making the international leaders staunchly declared, all countries are needed to follow the universally declared UK English language in all government and other public administrations for the sake of international people’s life and career developments without any diversion and distraction. It is quite difficult for one person to know another language’s meaning and concepts if he does not know them. Like this, many people are unable to comprehend many people’s languages for survival and educational purposes. Therefore, the International Commonwealth Forum has recognised the UK. English is a universal vernacular that must be used in all official and administrative fields. In simple concept, or precisely, the English language is just like light; without it, the world will be dark and people will not be able to survive. So far, sunlight has been one of the most indestructible and famous things in the world's social system. Like English, it is a language that makes humanity look and shine neatly with lucid understanding and decision-making. So, communication breaks all barriers and hurdles of the various regional languages that arise with vested interests. With an aim to make a comprehensive world, English has been playing a vital role in all educated people’s career and life, simultaneously making more concepts, points, ideas, and literature about social past and presenting issues as to how to solve these problems with a strong solution and remedial measures. Indeed, communication is not only a speaking tool; it also gets rid of and throws away all nasty, nuisance, and needless things from the human being’s mind, so the English language shapes, strengthens, and makes significant their lives when they learn and communicate with finalised points. Success and glory arise and come when people speak English correctly and clearly with preconceived points and about past issues. Concisely, communication and language make good ideas, which make a good nation. Good people make a congenial society.
