Abstract

This study explores the characteristics that increase a patient's risk of dying from COVID-19 while they are being treated in isolation centers in Gedaref State, Eastern Sudan, between March 2019 and December 2020. On a sample size of 261 patients, descriptive statistics as well as survival analysis methods, such as Kaplan Mire and multivariate cox-regression, were carried out. Based on the results of the empirical research, it can be concluded that the majority of COVID-19 patients were men (63.9%), that 89% of patient survivors were alive, and that 11% were dead.
