Management of Solid Urban Waste and the Participation of its Actors

Abstract

Solid waste comes from the inorganic and organic waste that is generated during the activities of daily life of people and companies. Which if not properly managed generate pollution and risks to public health (Ariza-Díaz, Andrea and Sánchez-De La Torre, Valeria1, 2020), for these reasons it is an obligatory issue in national, regional and local public policies in different countries of the world, which are regulated by laws to oblige and guarantee compliance,  Added to this is the importance of the active involvement of its actors (public and private sectors and the population as a whole); this joint work must be framed in the solid waste management of the commune, based on treatment models (Dos Santos, Crisliane Aparecida Pereira and de Souza, Janaína Dos Santos, 2016).
