Authors and their institutions are required to pay Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the publication of their articles in the Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences. These charges cover various expenses related to the publication process, including managing peer reviews, editing, professional copyediting, and promoting published research. We believe that open access provides researchers with great value for their money. Our income per article is significantly lower compared to traditional subscription publishers. By adopting an open-access model, we ensure that research findings can be widely disseminated without any access barriers, promoting transparency for those who contribute financially, including funding bodies and taxpayers.

The Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences publishes all its journals in full open access, allowing unrestricted use and reuse of articles while appropriately acknowledging the authors. All our articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

In addition to other publishing functions, authors are required to pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 1000. This charge covers the costs of managing peer reviews, administering the publication process, professionally producing articles in various formats (including PDF), and distributing published papers through different channels. It is important to note that making an advance payment does not guarantee acceptance of the manuscript. We do not charge fees for rejected articles, and there are no submission fees or additional charges based on article length, figures, or supplementary data.

After submitting your paper, you will receive an invoice shortly. Payment can be made in Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD), Indian National Rupees (INR), Japanese Yen (JYN), Swiss Francs (CHF), or British Pounds Sterling (GBP) via credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal.

The most immediate and convenient payment method is by credit card, as we can begin editing your paper as soon as we receive payment confirmation. PayPal is also an instant payment option, although it incurs a 6% transfer fee. Payment is also accepted through Western Union, MoneyGram, RiaMoney, Payoneer and more.

Discounts:

Waivers for Article Processing Charges are granted at the Publisher's discretion and can be discussed with the editorial office during the article submission process. The decision to grant a waiver is not dependent on the author's ability to pay the charges, but authors are encouraged to consider their funding availability before submitting an article. Additionally, certain reviewers may receive discount vouchers, and authors affiliated with participating universities benefit from reduced APCs.

Accepted Currencies:

We accept payments in US dollars (USD), Swiss francs (CHF), Euros (EUR), British pounds (GBP), Canadian dollars (CAD), Indian National Rupees (INR), or Japanese yen (JPY). Upon acceptance, the corresponding/submitting author will receive an email with a link to change the currency of the invoice.

Accepted Payment & Methods:

Credit Card Payment: We strongly recommend paying by credit card. To do so, select the Credit Card option and follow the instructions. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and China UnionPay payments in Swiss Francs (CHF), Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD), Pounds Sterling (GBP), Indian National Rupees (INR), Japanese Yen (JPY), and Canadian Dollars (CAD). We also accept Western Union, MoneyGram, Payoneer and Ria Money.

Bank Transfer Payment:

If paying by credit card is not feasible, we also accept wire transfers (bank transfers). Please ensure that transfer fees are paid by you as the "sender" and not by the "beneficiary" or "recipient" so that the Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences receives the full invoiced amount.

We will provide you with a constructive response as soon as possible. Thank you for submitting your research article to the Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences.
