Principal’s psycho-cognitive variables and faeces management practices questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The reliability estimate of the instrument was established through the use of Cronbach Alpha reliability method which ranges from 0.64 to 0.85. Independent t-test and simple regression were used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that principals’ attitude toward sanitation and knowledge of implementation of sanitation policies significantly influenced their faeces management practices. Based on these findings, it was concluded that there was a significant influence of principal’s psycho-cognitive variables are faeces management practices in secondary schools.
