Enhancing Return Loss Performance for Aerospace Applications by Comparing Fractal Patch Antennas with Different Iterations with the Basic Square Patch Antenna

Abstract
Aim: In this paper it describes analysis and comparison of return loss performance of different iterations fractal patch antenna with basic square patch antenna by using CPW fed for aerospace applications using HFSS software. Materials and methods: Different iteration fractal patch antenna, first iteration (n=16), second iteration (n=16), third iteration (n=16) return loss performance is compared with Basic square patch antenna (n=16) for Aerospace applications. The total 64 samples were calculated using sample calculator with a pre-test power of 80%. Results: Noveldifferent iterations fractal patch antenna has improved return loss performance first iteration (-26.4937 dB), second iteration (-29.6413 dB), third iteration (-26.6 dB) compared to basic square patch antenna (-24.4325 dB). Different iterations fractal patch antenna dimensions are 41.9 x 51 x 1.6 mm3. Attained significance value for return loss is p<0.01. Conclusion: The obtained results say that novel different iterations fractal patch antenna has improved return loss performance compared to the basic square patch antenna.
