India's varied climate, ample natural resources, and accessible technology offer substantial opportunities for horticultural development, promising poverty reduction, enhanced nutritional security, and higher farmer incomes. Furthermore, horticulture plays a vital role in the nation's agricultural GDP and overall growth objectives, supporting numerous agro-industries and generating employment opportunities.
