Abstract

The huge technological development at the present time has led to people relying on electronic communication with each other much more than traditional methods of communication. It is no secret to everyone that multimedia (text, image, audio, and video files) is involved in all areas of life, such as education, health, and holding electronic conferences and meetings, especially in the recent period after the spread of Covid-19 disease. These media may be classified information belonging to security and military institutions, banks, and electronic commerce. Protection must be provided for this information transmitted through electronic means. The need to give this subject the utmost attention emerged, which prompted researchers to search for ways and techniques to ensure the integrity of the data sent through those channels and its arrival to the beneficiary under the highest possible degrees of protection. Therefore, the issue of data encryption was one of the most important modern topics that received attention. Many specialized researchers have worked on designing complex algorithms as an indispensable way to secure the transfer of data through various communication media. In this paper, we designed a new hybrid of symmetric and asymmetric cryptosystem, that adopted stream cryptosystem and 5dimentions chaotic maps with help of the elliptic curve cryptography to encrypt /decrypt audio files (*.wav). The designed cryptosystem has passed all the basic efficiency criteria, whether on the key extracted from the random generator or on the digital audio after completing the encryption process.
