Abstract

 


Football is one of the most famous sports in the entire world, It is not confined to a specific category. Regardless of all the physical, mental, and social advantage of it. Football has a high injury rate when it is compared to other sports. In particular, injuries among young footballers’ are constantly being observed.


Aim. The aim of the study is to review common injuries in young footballers according to the nature, location, and the type of injury.


Study directions. According to the nature of the injury (Joint injuries, ligaments injury, tendon injuries, muscle injuries, bone injuries, cartilage injuries), and to the anatomical location of injury (Hands and wrists, head, knee, thigh, ankle and foot, shoulder, hip, groin, tibia, fibula, and hamstring injury). According to the type of injury (Sprains injuries, bone fractures, dislocation injuries).


Conclusion. Many variables play a part in the risk of young injuries in football, the different causes of injuries and risk factors are disparate and variable and therefore require different preventive strategies.
