Abstract

Social Anthropologist like Redfield’s concept of little and great tradition is very much helpful to understand not only the concept of civilization but also very much linked to understand the textual and contextual view of a religious institution. Here in this study , it is tried to explore the textual and contextual explanation of kechopalri lake , is also considered as sacred that has linked to Vidyarthi’s concept of sacred complex and this concept is correlated with frame work of little and great tradition.
