Synthesis, Characterization, and mass spectral fragmentation of novel Azo derivative and its divalent metal ion complexes
Main Article Content
Abstract
Azo complex of Cu (II) was synthesized by the reaction of new azo ligand (3-((4-(1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl)phenyl)dizenyl)-4-hydroxy-5methoxy benzaldehyde) which prepared from benzimidazole diazonium salt and coupling with vanillin. The synthesized ligand and its metal ion complex as isolated and diagnostic using all available technique such FTIR, C.H.N.S analysis, mass spectral analysis, 1H-NMR, and UV-Vis utilizing flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. From the obtained results all metal ion complexes have an octahedral.
